My lawn’s greener! No,my lawn’s greener! A common friendly little neighborhood argument that takes place every summer around the country. If you feel that you have the nicest, greenest lawn on the street, but you use a franchise lawn service like Spring-Green, or Natural Lawn, instead of spending 5-8 hours a week slaving away like Mr. Perfection, 3 doors down, who is the real winner????

According to The Columbus Dispatch, the real competition for the greenest lawn on your street takes place in the trenches. The trenches of franchise warfare, that is….Read.

This Franchise Has Been Green For Years!

poniedziałek, lipiec 21st, 2008

A lot of small businesses are jumping on the Green bandwagon, and this blogger thinks that it is important to do so. Some franchise concepts can start off their Green initiatives with simple things like replacing old light bulbs with newer, more energy efficient ones. This may seem like a minuscule thing to do, but if all the franchise companies nationwide did it, it would save a lot of energy!

There are even some franchise concepts to get involved in that have been Green since their inception. Would you like top know which one I am talking about?

Kitchen Tune-Up has been saving wood, and even planting trees for years. Dave Haglund, founder of Kitchen Tune-Up says "When you redoor your cabinets instead of replacing them entirely, you
do a small part to help our planet.  Your cabinet boxes don’t go to a
landfill and the energy and materials needed to create new ones isn’t
used, either!  It’s just one more thing to feel good about."

If you are about to do a kitchen remodel, is it possible for you to take a step back, and consider the refacing option? By doing so, you really would be helping the planet, by saving a tree or two. You would of course, also be saving the fuel costs that would be required for delivery of the trees to the mill, and finally, you would be saving another type of Green. It is less costly to reface a kitchen, than to replace the cabinets that are already in place!

Don’t believe me, though.

Read some comments from real Kitchen Tune-Up customers:

Love my new kitchen!!!
Can’t say enough about it. Made a 30 year old kitchen like new in 3
days. On time, cleaned up each night and 1/2 price of new cabinets.
Love it, love it, love it!!!

I will recommend
"Kitchen Tune-Up" to all my friends and I am very happy that I could
keep my old cabinets that now look like new.

My kitchen cabinets look brand new and my whole kitchen feels
different. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the services.
Great company to work I have already passed their name along.

Amazing - came for original visit when promised. Explained everything.
Called to confirm date. Finished and left everything looking 1000%
better.

         Sanderson PR

The fine folks at Sanderson PR shared an uplifting story today about a franchisee of Express Employment Professionals, the re-branded name of Express Personnel, out of Oklahoma. This is a great week for Express. I just mentioned some positive stuff about Express’s CEO, Bob Funk, on my weekly AllBusiness.com article. He stepped up big time, and wrote a $50k check last December to the American Red Cross after the ice storms in Oklahoma.
